iKeePass App Reviews

Stopped working with iOS 10!

Since updating to iOS 10 iKeePass is not syncing with Dropbox nor do some features work eg Show password. This is a disaster unless the developer comes back after 4 years to fix this problem!

Need update

Im using the keepass in my pc. But stop to use it in my iPhone because it needs updates. Supports to google drive, etc. Im staring to use 1Password

No Cloud Compatibility

It only works with Dropbox and not OwnCloud. Which all my database files are on. Will update review once support for OwnCloud is added.

Disappointed

Dropbox sync doesnt work, and the UI is really weird: half of an iPhone screen doesnt make for a usable interface, especially with long passwords. And my emails to support have gone unanswered.

Not Secure

High marks on integration with Keepass on the Mac. Able to easily sync the database file via Dropbox. Set up was easy and fast. The low rating is because the app has no protection on iPad or iPhone. Anyone getting their hands on those devices has full access to all stored passwords. Without securing the App I will have to delete it

Not secure

After using keepassX on mac and windows I wanted to sync to my IOS devices. The auto logout and database log out do not work which leaves all passwords available to anyone who gets your IOS device. If not for this would have given a 5 start rating

Not working with Dropbox.

I tried for two hours to get this to work with Dropbox on my iPhone and iPad. It would not let me create a new database (dis not have a previous file to open) from either of the devices. Downloaded the Mono and (an hour later because their host service only allows one download per hour) the KeePass for Mac. Installed and opened on the Mac I was then able to create a database and key file to my Dropbox location. I was then able to see the Dropbox with the new files. Alright, or so I thought. Now with the database setup on the devices it asks for the master key password, this is where it is now failing the most. It constantly tells me that the password is incorrect and I cannot open the file, then I get numerous red warnings about connecting to Dropbox. And all this is what they call a working app, just not worth the time, money, or frustration. Oh, did I mention the desktop version is lacking it graphical design and looks more like a first generation Windows application.

Doesnt work

I cant get this thing to work on my iPad at all. Developer web site has no content. No documentation. Dont waste your money on this one.

Cant import database

Cant import database. It always force close. even you try using drobox, http or webserver. Useless application

50/50

Workers great on the phone with Dropbox, but wont work on iPad.

Doesnt work at all

Ive so disappointed. It doesnt open usual kdb files. It just shows some red lines on left and right side of screen. Give back my money !

Finally getting there!

Ive been using the PC application for many years and have come to rely on it. And finally the makers of iKeePass have come up with a version that does everything I need. I have Dropbox installed on every computer I use, then store my KeePass database in a Dropbox folder so its always in sync, even on my iPhone. I did have a problem opening the file from Dropbox when the 2.4.4 update released, but I saw another reviewer say he uninstalled and reinstalled to get it to work. Tried that, now everythings great! People complaining about it being unsecured just need to check the databases settings. If you enter the optional password you wont need to enter it to open the database. My ONLY complaint is the database settings screen wont scroll properly, so that when oriented in portrait mode the password field is beneath the keyboard! Turning my iPhone to landscape mode barely reveals the password field so I can get by. Other than that I love this app and will never use another.

Corrupted my DB!

I was so happy to see that the app added the ability to make changes to my DB that was synced via Dropbox. Problem is after making a test change on my iPhone I found that my DB was completely messed up. It looks like values for URL and Notes for records that previously had blank values for these ended up with values from other records being copied in. I am using keepass 1.x DB since my Mac client cannot read 2.x DBs. Thanks goodness I am using Dropbox to store my DB and I was easily able to revert to a previous revision. Please fix this. In the meantime I will use the app as a read only as it was before.

It finally works! Better late than never.

I was extremely disappointed when I first bought this, a couple of versions back. Now, however, with my KeePass database kept on Dropbox, this application works. Certainly very helpful to have secure access to all my passwords. By keeping the database on Dropbox, its always up-to-date and synched. This should have worked when I first bought it, but better late than never. Now version 2.5 lets you make and save changes. Well worth using now.

Buggy - wont upload reliably via web-server feature

Compared to the last version, at least the web-server upload doesnt crash every time. Now when you start the web-server, it seems to start inconsistently - you press the start button, and it doesnt give you the web address in the box below, or it does, but it refuses the connection from my PCs web browser. I finally got it to work once, then twice (out of about 30 attempts). And this was after a fresh uninstall/reinstall. Please fix this!

Nicest KeePass App

This is the best iPhone / iPad KeePass app there is. It is not perfect, but what app is? As a user of the KeePass for 10 years on my PC I expect a lot from the iPad / iPhone app. Originally, I eagerly awaited the My KeePass app to be built. When it finally was it was full of bugs and didnt ever really work correctly. I must have not been the only one to feel this way as iKeePass came out less than a year after My KeePass. Immediatly, I could tell there was no comparison. This one had several abilities the other one didnt have. For instance, to open multiple password databases, ie work, personal, and side job open at the same time, but not mix them together. Now with the ability to read the updated 2.x database and link into DropBox keeping the native database encryption, I can keep all my databases up to date safely and easily. Thank you iKeePass

corrupted kdbx file

I was not able to share the kdbx file this app modified with my pc via Dropbox. I could share the file the other direction, but if I added records thru this app, they are unreadable by the desktop app.

Not working

Worked great two versions ago. Not it crashes whenever you try to start it.

Unable to access data

The resent update no longer allows access to my data base. When I enter my password it returns unknown error login failed on both the iPad and iPod . Do they bother to check there release there updates.

Login Failed After 2.5.2 Update

Failed with Unknown error. I would rather have the App work than have a Shiny new Icon which for me is all the update did. Dear Develper: I love this app. I Understand there can be bugs. Please fix ASAP. as of right now I am using minikeepass as a work around but its simply not as good. Thank you. I am rating one star for now until this is fixed. I will Re-Rate at 5 Stars Once I can use the App again. Thank You.
